FIT GUIDE
Find the Perfect Fit for Maximum Comfort and Performance
Fit for Athletic or Everyday Shoes
Stridexs socks are designed to provide optimal comfort and performance when paired with athletic or casual shoes. If you try them with shoes already fitted for thinner socks, they may feel slightly snug.
To ensure the best experience, follow these fitting guidelines:
- Wear Stridexs socks when trying on new shoes – our socks provide extra cushioning, which may slightly affect shoe fit.
- Choose shoes that accommodate the slightly thicker cushioning to maintain comfort and foot support.
- Select shoes based on fit, not just size, as sizing can vary by brand and style.
-
Try on both shoes with socks and check the following:
- Your toes should have enough room to move comfortably.
- There should be about a thumbnail’s width of space between your longest toe and the shoe tip.
- Your heel should fit securely with minimal slippage.
- The widest part of your foot should align with the widest part of the shoe for proper support.
- Try on shoes later in the day since feet naturally expand due to daily activities.
Fit for Boots
Boots often have a deeper fit, making them more accommodating for performance socks. However, proper fitting is still essential for maximum comfort.
Follow these steps when selecting boots with Stridexs socks:
- Wear Stridexs socks when trying on boots to ensure the best fit.
- Choose the size based on your larger foot, as most people have one foot slightly bigger than the other.
- Fit by feel, not by size, since different boot brands and styles may vary in sizing.
-
Try on boots with socks and check the following:
- Your toes should have enough space to move.
- There should be about a thumbnail’s width of space between your longest toe and the boot’s tip.
- Your heel should fit snugly, with no more than ¼ inch of slippage.
- The boot should flex at the ball of your foot for natural movement.
- The arch area should wrap comfortably around your foot for stability.
- Lace spacing: When fully laced, there should be ½ to 1 inch of space between eyelets—too tight means the boots are small, too wide means they are large.
- Try on boots at the end of the day for the most accurate fit.
- Pair Stridexs socks with boots for a complete comfort system.
